Florencia Alba

Florencia Alba is a Mexican-born paper artist specializing in prop making and set design for product campaigns, branded environments, and custom installations. Working between Mexico and Canada for over a decade, she transforms simple sheets of paper into sculptural, immersive worlds that elevate products and tell compelling visual stories. From commercial shoots to retail activations and large-scale events, Florencia collaborates closely with brands and creative teams, guiding each project from concept development through fabrication and installation.

Colour is the foundation of her practice. Influenced by the saturated hues and rich textures of Mexican culture – found in architecture, markets, textiles, and everyday life. She uses bold palettes to create emotion, movement, and atmosphere. Her aesthetic is vibrant and refined: visually striking at first glance, yet defined by meticulous details, clean lines, precise construction, and intentional composition. She aims for impact without chaos, balancing strong silhouettes with technical control.

Blending engineering thinking with artistic intuition, Florencia approaches paper as both a structural and conceptual medium – bridging art and production to create tactile, technically sound experiences unlike any other in Canada. Florencia has collaborated with clients such as Prada, Guerlain, Komasa Gin, Pocky, National Gallery of Canada, and the Westin Hotels & Resorts.
