Chef Dustin Gallagher’s culinary story is one of relentless passion and dedication, a journey that began at the remarkable age of 13. From early days working in professional kitchens, Dustin displayed an innate talent and drive that propelled him through the culinary ranks. By 22, he had joined Susur Lee’s team at the internationally renowned *Susur* in Toronto, where he spent six transformative years. Rising to the rank of Sous Chef, Dustin honed his craft under one of Canada’s most celebrated chefs, developing a unique style defined by precision, creativity, and bold flavours.
Dustin’s rise continued when he took the helm as Executive Chef at Toronto’s Grace. Grace earned a coveted spot in Toronto Life’s 2009 Top Ten Best New Restaurants, quickly becoming a standout on the city’s vibrant dining scene. Dustin himself was additionally honoured with the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo’s Nine of Dine Award, recognizing him as one of Toronto’s most promising new chefs.
His talent and charisma brought him to the national stage as a competitor on the inaugural season of Top Chef Canada. Years later, in 2017, Dustin returned to the spotlight for Top Chef Canada All-Stars, where his refined skills earned him the title of runner-up in a fiercely competitive season.
