Matthew Medeiros
Prop & Roomset Stylist
Matthew's background in visual communication and artistry started in high school with a part-time job at an upscale home goods store, where a penchant for bed and display dressing sprouted. While studying fashion business at Toronto's George Brown College, Matthew entered luxury retail with positions at Hugo Boss and Escada. Upon graduation, went on to work for Louis Vuitton as a visual merchandiser. As an expert in luxury, he continued to work as an interior visual merchandiser for Gucci and a luxury fashion buyer, which took him to Paris, Milan, and New York.
His evolution into still-life styling and art direction has led him to successfully execute creative concept ideations for varying clients in apparel, housewares, commercial hard & soft goods, food & beverage, and more. He effectively articulates brand standards through a careful understanding of product knowledge, is versed in display creation with clear storytelling and skillful techniques like folding, draping, and floral arranging. Sourcing and curating props combined with still-life elements & materials translates to clever on-set styling and art direction.
